Carrying on from my previous post The CEO of Nvidia Jensen wanted to provide an alternative to the Atom processor. If I remeber correctly, Nvidia tried to created a processor to beat the Atom within the same market the netbook/ webbook.

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Husang has recently disted Intels chipsets. Husang started off the interview by saying how rubbish current netbooks were, He reckoned Intels Atom would cripple the netbook markets and how VIA’s nano platform is a better option.

Toms hardware managed to get hold of some early phenom II x4 benchmarks using DDR3 based memory modules with their latest chipset.

Western Digital Releases first 2TB HardDisk

Storage specialist Western Digital has officially released their caviar green 2TB hard Disk. the 3.5″ drive comes with 500Gb per platter with 32MB of Cache! The hard disk will use SATA2 3 GB/s Sata Interface. Western Digital claim that the hardisk uses 1w of power on stand-by, 4W when idle and 7.4W when reading/ writing.
