Intel have released their Intel corei7 architecture last month. Intel have obviously moved into the high end bracket of the computer hardware market. A new corei7 system could cost around £1500 where the motherboard alone costs £200.

Intels new processors are now out! They are widely available across the uk in most major hardware retailers. The Nehalem processor retail name Core i7 comes in three flavours, these include: 2.66 Ghz, 2.93 Ghz and 3.20 Ghz (Extreme edition).

Intel Corei7 technology has a sudden pitfall with its architecture. I’ve always had my suspicions that Intel had an issue with their memory! Taken that the new memory controller is not asynchronous and the fact that you can only run odd number of modules the voltage bottleneck didn’t come as a surprise.

Analysts reckon that Larrabee will not be the graphics hit Intel claim. Intel have claimed that Larrabee will be more powerful than Nvidia who have developed their products for a 10 year span. It takes years of practise to achieve good drivers, inter connects and memory bandwidth.
