AMD ships 50 millionth GPU

Ok you may be asking yourself “I’m sure AMD have already done this!” well your not wrong, it is actually AMD’s 50 millionth Wii GPU! WOW thats a lot of processors!
It’s not the first time AMD have made processors for consoles but the Hollywood made GPU is after all a very successful chip! Ok, OK AMD have never created the fastest GPU’s for third party’s but they have always been award winning, revolutionary devices.
The AMD GPU was custom made for the Japanese console maker. Without the combination of both the GPU and the platform I doubt the Wii would have the same success it has today.
