Computer Hardware and the REPO MAN!
Posted on 18. Feb, 2009 by Simon Whiston in General News
Computer systems can vary in price depending on their specification and usage. Enthusiasts can easy be tempted to buy hardware on finance. Is this the best way of buying hardware? Well with the recession in full swing people are finding it harder to re-pay those monthly bills let alone pay off computer hardware.
A Lot of competitive online shopping websites offer finance packages where by the customer can either pay various monthly payments at the customer’s discretion. These offers may seem attractive but as mentioned previously the recession may lead to a debt collection agency at your door step. You may end up paying back the whole amount with interest and the computer hardware confiscated from you!
The best policy when buying computer hardware is to basically save up the money first then buy the required components, ok you may argue that you cannot afford to buy the whole system out right but you can strategically buy hardware in bundles.
For example a mother board and cheaper processor could be purchased and then in 6 months time a quicker processor can be purchased. The only risk in doing this is if the motherboard socket changes at any time.
