DDR2 Price rise

At the end of 2008 DDR2 memory was at a low steady price for the consumer but its has steadily increased over the end of December 2008. From January to February there has been at least three sudden increases in prices where DDR2 was dropping again in price, now there is yet again a steady increase.
DRAMeXchange explained that the Chinese government created a scheme to promote technology in rural areas of china. This has caused a sudden demand for the memory and in-turn increased prices. The Chinese government has declared the scheme “Home Electronics down to the country side”.
