Tri-Channel DDR3 Intels mistake?

If you have been reading my blog recently you may well know that the Core i7 processor has been released. it seems that current trends are showing a shine for DDR3 memory suddenly, why is this? Well Intels new architecture and it support DDR3 properly unlike older Intel chipsets.
The downside to Intels architecture is that the memory controller does not support dual channel memory and the memory is not asynchronous meaning the memory works better in singles rather than powers of, 2, 4 ,8, 16, 32 etc.
So the next upgrade is either one or three memory modules, weird! So the current trends for memory company’s are you guessed it! tri memory kits! The sizes range from 3GB to 12GB using the full 1,333Mhz clock.
