AMD working on integrated graphic chipset

AMD’s graphic branch ATI is said to be working a new integrated graphic chipset targeted to the low price laptop sector.
This chipset, called RS880, is based on a Radeon HD 4200 core and could very well give some more juice to a netbook compared to the Intel GMA 950. At least 15% faster this chip should allow you to watch 720p videos without any stuttering.

No official confirmation from AMD we hope it will keep its promises and maybe compete on the netbook graphic sector with the Nvidia Ion platform. No dates of course but we’re hoping to see this out before the end of the year definitely.
